Why Give?
God set the ultimate example on how to give by the sacrificial giving of His very own Son (Eph. 5:2). Every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord, and so the resources He has blessed believers with ultimately belong to Him. Whether it is from our giftedness in finances, materials, service, and time - it is a believer’s responsibility to be a good steward and give back to the Lord what is His by giving to the church and others.
Giving Options
Abundant Life is pleased to offer several convenient giving methods. Consider taking advantage of one of these easy giving options as you tithe and contribute to God’s work through the ministry of the Abundant Life Outreach Center.
Weekend Service Giving
When you put a gift in the offering basket, there are several choices as to how you make your gift. We track gifts and issue giving reports. We’re able to provide you this service for your tax records or just your own financial records, if you give by check with accurate name and address on the check or if you place your gift in an envelope with with your information. The hostess and ushers have blank envelopes on which you can put your name and use, or you may pick up an envelope at the Welcome Desk. Upon request we'll send you quarterly reports of your giving in order to help you if you itemize on your taxes. The quarterly report is also an internal financial control for us, so we ask you to please check it for accuracy and let us know of any errors which may be present.
Online Giving
On-line giving can be a very convenient way to give. We offer a process to give by a credit or with a debit card. Although we don't encourage the use of a credit card and request that you do not use revolving credit to make a gift, we do accept credit card gifts because we know that many people like the convenience of using a credit card and paying it off each month. Gifts made through this site will be receipted just as gifts mailed in or given in our weekly offering are receipted. The gifts are tracked and stewardship records are mailed out quarterly or upon request.
Automated Giving
We also offer the option of choosing an automatic bank draft as a way to give a fixed amount every month or twice a month. Please see a member of the Finance Department for more information about this giving process.
